Last weekend saw a much anticipated Hex Fight Series roll around, with Coach Sean Le Gourrierec stepping into the Hex octagon once again! Sean was up against a tough opponent in Blake Donnelly who utilized his striking ability and reach to keep Sean at bay. There were some good shots and take-downs landed by Sean in the first two rounds and even while wearing some tough shots he showed great heart to keep moving forward and stay level headed. It looked like the bout was going Sean’s way when he came out with a successful take down early in the third round, however his opponent recovered and managed to secure a win via TKO.
It was a tough fight for Sean, and back to the drawing board it is, but he always gives 100% and we couldn’t be prouder. Every fight is an opportunity to learn, and we know you’ll be back stronger for your experience.

Overseas, Kit Dale made waves at the main event of the very first official ADCC Nordic Open in Norway! Up against Norwegian prodigy Tommy Langaker, silver medalist at this years World Championships in an exciting super fight, Kit emerged victorious 3 to -1, securing a guard pass to win against an opponent who is renowned for having a very tough guard to penetrate. Huge win for Kit! Congratulations from all of us back home in Australia.
