Thiago is a fourth degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and Judo black belt who has placed at the IBJJF World Championships, South American Championships and European Championships, won multiple state championships in Brazil and multiple Pan Pacific Championships.
His students have won multiple World Championship titles and our team is the only Australian team to ever win a IBJJF World Championships team trophy, the most prestigious Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition in the world.
Lachlan GilesLachlan is a first degree BJJ black belt. At ADCC 2019 in the Absolute division, Lachlan as one of the lightest competitors (under 77kg) submitted 3 world class heavyweights (Kaynan Duarte, Patrick Gaudio and Mahamed Aly) all by heel hook. At Kinektic Invitational 1, a five vs five grappling event, Lachlan single-handedly swept the entire team, submitting them all, 4 by heel hook and 1 armbar. He is the 2017 IBJJF No-Gi World Championship Bronze Medallist, 2014 Australian Jiu-Jitsu Grand Prix Champion, multiple time Pan Pacific and Victorian Jiu Jitsu Champion. He has represented Australia three times at ADCC, the most prestigious submission grappling competition in the world, represented Australia three times at the World Pro Championships and competed at the Eddie Bravo Invitational where he submitted former ADCC Champion Rani Yahya. He also works as a physiotherapist and in 2016 completed his PhD.
Moses Bentley has over 15-years experience in competitive sport.
He is a qualified Personal Trainer holding a Cert III & IV in Fitness, he has completed the ASCA Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coaching course and the AIK Level 2 Kettlebell Training course.
Moses has experience as a professional mixed martial artist and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt. He also trained in Rugby, Tennis and surfing.
Sem Kakembo is an Amateur Mixed Martial Artist and Muay Thai fighter with a record of 8-1. He is the Path to Hex Featherweight Champion and Absolute MMA 2019 Athlete of the Year.

Laos “The Asian Bull” Toohey is one of the most highly respected striking coaches in Australia today, coaching over 35 champions in a variety of disciplines at every level including an I.S.K.A. Super Middleweight World Champion. Toohey was named Star Kickboxing Trainer of the Year 1998 and Kickboxing Trainer of the Century in 2000.
As a fighter, competing in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, karate and TKD, he is renowned for his perfect, undefeated record of 32 wins and 0 losses (15KO) and the number and variety titles that he captured.
Simon Carson is a professional mixed martial artist with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss, elite coach and Pan-Pacific Champion and Australian Champion at blue belt in BJJ. He currently holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
A Registered Exercise Scientist (ESSA), Level 1 Olympic Lifting Coach and Bachelor of Health Science (Human Movement) graduate, Simon has trained Olympians, World Champions in BJJ and State Champion boxers.

Raja Shippen is a professional mixed martial artist with a record of 18 wins, 12 losses and 1 draw.
He started his coaching career with Mark Munoz at Reign Training Center in California and has earned a Vale Tudo black belt under MMA legend Marco Ruas. He has trained all over the world including a stint with John Kavanagh and Conor McGregor at SBG Ireland and has fought in America, Japan, South Korea and The Philippines. He is currently one of the top ranked Bantamweight in Australia.
Livia Giles is a BJJ black belt, 3-time BJJ World Champion, 2-time Asian Champion, 11-time Pan-Pacific Champion, 3-time Australian Champion, Abu Dhabi Pro Trials Winner and 2017 IBJJF No-Gi World Championship Silver Medallist. She was the first Australian to win at Copa Podio, a renown showcase event in Brazil, and she has represented Australia twice at the Abu Dhabi World Pro Championships. At the end of 2014, she was ranked at #2 in the world in no gi BJJ and #4 in gi (purple belt, light feather) and #1 in Australia in both gi and no gi (purple belt, open weight).
She is also a physiotherapist and has worked for the Australian Institute of Sport. Before taking up BJJ she was the 2003/04 Track Series Australian Cycling Champion and has represented Poland and Australia in rhythmic gymnastics.
Vince Rogato is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, coach and competitor. Vince started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2009. He has also trained in JKD and Kali. Vince has competed both nationally and internationally placing at both Pan Pacific championships and VIC Titles.
He has also won gold and medalled at multiple UAEJJF events.
Vince holds his Cert III & IV in fitness and is currently studying nutrition coaching.
Glen Fraser is a life-long martial artist, personal trainer and coach.
He started his martial arts training at age 10 with Kung Fu and earning his black belt at age 14. He later moved on to Karate where he earned another black belt, won multiple state titles and worked as an instructor for 4 years.
In 2005 he completed his Personal Training, Fitness and Boxing Certificates and started working in the fitness industry.
Glen competed in Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai before turning his focus to coaching, first as an assistant coach under Jai Tao and he now coaches the Introduction to Muay Thai program at Absolute MMA Collingwood.
Jack Jenkins is a professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer holding a record of 7 wins from 9 bouts.
He has been training in kickboxing and MMA for over 10 years and spent almost 12 months training full-time in Thailand. He currently holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Jack has also worked as a coach for the past 5 years.
Pradeep Singh Sihag is a professional boxer with a combined amateur and professional record of 144 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw. He is the WBC Asian Middleweight Champion, Pan Asian Boxing Association Middleweight Champion and Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation Asian Middleweight Champion.
He has been ranked as the #1 middleweight in Australia, #1 in Asia and #13 in the World.
He is a four-time National Champion in India and was a star of the FOX reality TV show, The Contender.
Mikael Yahaya is a locally and internationally competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. He is a No Gi Worlds Bronze Medallist, 4 x Pan Pacific Champion, Kasai Pro 2 Super Fight Winner, Coffs Harbour 65kg Superfight Champion, 2 x AGC Superfight Champion, Aus Sub Only Superfight Champion and won the Aus Sub Only Match of the Year Award.
Mikael is not only enthusiastic and dedicated to Jiu-Jitsu but he also holds a Bachelor of Business (Management).
Sean Le Gourrierec
Sean Le Gourrierec is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and professional mixed martial artist with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses. He has been training and competing since 2009.
He is also an accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who has trained and competed in Brazil and has won Pan-Pacific and Victorian Championships.
Connor Evans has over 15 years of freestyle wrestling experience and during his time on the mats he has been a member of the Scottish, British and Australian national teams and he was selected to represent Australian in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
During his long career he has won the Australian Freestyle Wrestling Championships, South East Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships and Oceania Freestyle Wrestling Championships.
Dan Howard is a former Royal Marine Commando and a Muay Thai practitioner with a record of 8 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw with 2 bouts fought in Thailand.
He is a highly experienced and qualified coach, holding a Cert III in Fitness, Cert IV in Personal Training, Cert IV in Marital Arts Coaching, he is a registered Muay Thai trainer with the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board and is a Master Trainer Level 1. He has recently completed a Bachelors of Exercise and Sports Science.
Sam Marles is an experienced amateur Boxer and Mixed Martial Artist. He is a member of the International MMA Federation of Australia’s national team and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt.
Sam is also an exceptional golfer, winning state level amateur tournaments and playing in the US amateur tournaments.
He holds a Diploma of Sport Development from the Australian College of Sport.
Hope Douglass is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt. With a Cert III and IV in fitness and personal training, as well as years of coaching experience, Hope has an educated and well-rounded approach to training and teaching.
Sam Hibberd is a professional Mixed Martial Artist and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt. After having an undefeated amateur record, Sam has fought professionally on Australia’s biggest MMA promotions and is currently one of Australia’s top ranked Bantamweights.
After getting his introduction to the Martial Arts growing up in Mildura, Sam has trained extensively over the past 10 years, learning from some of the countries most renowned and accomplished coaches. Sam has also spent time training internationally, with stints at Syndicate MMA, and Team Alpha Male.
Sam has nearly 10 years coaching experience, and has coached athletes for MMA, Kickboxing, Boxing and BJJ competition.
Amit Narayan is an experienced personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach, having coached for over 4 years.
Amit holds his Cert III and IV in Personal Training, as well as certs in Boxing and Suspension Training.

Bradley Wiedenhofer received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt in 2017 and is active both locally and internationally on the competition scene. He is a Pan Pacific gold medalist, Melbourne Open medalist, Abu Dhabi Trail gold medalist in his weight division and he won silver in the blue belt open.
Jeremy Skinner is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt under Lachlan Giles. He is a Polaris superfight winner, GrappleFest superfight winner, 2-time Pan Pacific No-Gi champion and 3-time AGC champion.
Cooper BurnhamCooper Burnham is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt and accomplished international competitor. He is a 4-time World Championship medallist, two-time Asian Champion, 6-time Pan Pacific Champion, 5-time National Champion, 4-time NAGA Champion, 9-time State Champion (multiple states), Kids World Champion (2015) and Pan American Championships silver medallist. He started training in mid 2012 and moved to Melbourne in 2017 at 16 years old to pursue BJJ professionally under Thiago Stefanutti at Absolute MMA.
Kaan Ofli is a Mixed Martial Artist with a professional record 7-2-1. He has over 13 years of experience in the sport and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt. Kaan has been competing in multiple national and international shows and holds a Cert III in Fitness.
Tim Baker is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, coach and competitor. Tim started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2012 to enhance his technique as a Mixed Martial Artist, where he amassed a 3-2 record. Tim has competed both nationally and internationally and enjoys the social side BJJ, making many friends through his journey.
Lisa Kyriacou is an Amateur Mixed Martial Artist Fighter with a record of 5-4. She has fought on well known shows; Path to Hex, Eternal MMA, Coastal Combat and Demolition MMA.
Lisa is looking to make her professional debut soon and is currently studying her Certificate III & IV in Fitness.
Oliver Smith started BJJ in February of 2012 and currently holds a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt. He is active on the local scene and has placed in almost every competition he has entered, including a silver at the UAEJJF International Open as a blue belt.
He started as an assistant coach in early 2016 and he also works as a volunteer coach in the Absolute MMA Collingwood Community Youth Program, teaching BJJ to local teens.
Seamus Hayes has been a personal trainer since 2011, he completed his Diploma of Remedial massage in 2012 and Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy 2014. Seamus is a Strong FIRST SFG1 (Kettlebell instructor).
As a Myotherapist, he specialises in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. Seamus is passionate about empowering his clients to not only resolve the symptoms, but also educating on where the issue is stemming from & creating a plan to help them perform optimally pain free. Seamus intertwines Myotherapy and strength/movement coaching in rehabilitating clients, addressing the whole kinetic chain not just the symptomatic region.
Seamus also utilises Myotherapy consultations for aiding in recovery and optimal performance, pain free movement and muscle/soft tissue quality.
Where indicated he uses targeted techniques such such as dry needling, cupping, deep tissue massage and joint mobilisation techniques.
As a PT he has a strong focus on creating the foundations of optimal movement/mobility then loading/strengthening to injury proof his students. He has special interest in foundational movements in Kettlebell Training and Powerlifting/Strongman movements.
Apryl Eppinger is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt and current member of the Philippine National Ju-Jitsu team. She is a 2017 JJAU Asian Champion, 2016 Asian Beach Games medallist, 2016 Oceania Freestyle Wrestling Championships medallist, 2016 IBJJF Asian Open medallist and 2015 IBJJF Asian Open Champion.
Outside of combat sports, she also has over 14-years experience as a professional track and road cyclist representing both Australia and the Philippines. She has won the Australian Sprint Championship title, Philippines National Sprint title and holds numerous female track sprint records.
She is currently studying Social Science, while also working with the Kiilalana Program that focuses on working with indigenous youth.
Joseph Luciano is a professional mixed martial artist with a pro record of 3-1-0 which follows an outstanding amateur MMA and kickboxing career where he amassed a record of 32-8-0.
Joseph is a 2-time International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Championship bronze medallist, 1-time IMMAF African Champion, multiple-time IMMAF Australasian Champion and IMMAF Asian silver medallist.
He has worked as the IMMAF Australian Team Assistant Coach and is certified as a Black Belt under the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation.
Prior to his career in MMA, Joseph was an avid soccer player, competing at the national level as a juvenile.
Nick Metcalfe is a certified yoga teacher, completing his Vinyasa and Yin Training with Warrior One in 2018.
Through injuries, and time off the mat Nick discovered the practice of yoga in 2015. Yoga gave him the tools to better his mind and body connection, whilst also improving his martial arts practice.
He is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but also has experience in wrestling, kickboxing and MMA.
