It’s a busy weekend for the Absolute Fight Team!

First up we have Absolute’s Taherah Noori and Kosuke Oishi returning to the Muay Thai ring at Warrior’s Way 14! The fights will be taking place at the Doncaster Shoppingtown Hotel from 6.00PM and you can find more info on the event page.

Then on Sunday we have Absolute’s Darren Gn, Andre Nguyen, Adam Abdulhak and Rhylie Kim competing in MMA bouts at Gold Rush down in Ballarat. You can find more info about this fight night on the event page too.

An exciting weekend! If you are able to make it down to the events it’d be great to see some strong support there for the guys!

Absolute MMA is proud to present submission grappling legend Dean Lister!

An ADCC Champion, ADCC Superfight Champion and ADCC Open Weight Champion, Lister is renown for having one of the most dangerous leg-lock games in submission grappling. One Saturday, November 14th from 5PM, Dean will present a 3 hour seminar at Absolute MMA Melbourne CBD.

Tickets are $75 and you can complete payment and register your name at Absolute MMA Melbourne CBD reception.

What a way to get excited for UFC 193!

On November 29 from 11AM, we are excited to have Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, 2-time No-Gi BJJ World Champion and Australian women’s BJJ pioneer, Sophia Drysdale teaching a seminar at Absolute MMA Melbourne CBD!

If you pre-register at CBD reception, the seminar will be $60 for Absolute members and $65 for non-members. Tickets at the door will be $75.

Please note that due to the Melbourne Cup public holiday on Tuesday, November 3rd, there will be no classes at either Absolute MMA Melbourne CBD or South Yarra. An open mat will be running in the CBD from 12.00 PM to 2.00 PM and an open mat running in South Yarra from 10.30AM to 12.00PM.

Congratulations to both Christina and Jaz on their performances in their first amateur boxing tournament on Sunday! Christina was fighting in the Victorian Novice State final and Jaz in the semifinal. Although the y didn’t get the win, they showcased their fantastic skills and fought very well!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to support them too!

A couple of huge boxing bouts for the gym coming up this Sunday!

Christina and Jaz will be fighting in the 2015 Victorian Novice Boxing Championship this Sunday, 4th of October at the Italian Sports Club of Werribee.

Try to pace yourself on Saturday so you are reasonably fresh and clear-headed enough to support Christina and Jaz in their fights for their first boxing titles!

Muay Thai classes will now be running at Absolute MMA South Yarra and to celebrate we are launching a new four week Beginner’s MMA program!

Covering Mixed Martial Arts, no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, you’ll learn everything you need to build a solid, well-rounded foundation in MMA!

A new timetable will be starting on Monday, October 5 at Absolute South Yarra. Among the changes are new Muay Thai classes running Tuesdays and Saturdays, merged kids classes, longer Fundamentals classes a number of other small tweaks. Check out the timetable for all the info.
